Please contact us to discuss commission rates. Below is a list of our standard commission rates but please note all rates are negotiable based on the valuation of consignments and the circumstances of consignor. Commission rates for entire estate auctions may vary.
General Commission Rates for Auction House (per item): $2.50 - $50 = 40%; $50.01 - $300 = 25%; $300.01 - $1,000 = 15%; $1,000.01 - $3,000 = 10%; $3,000 & up = 7%
Reserves: The majority of our items are unreserved; however we do allow reserves to be placed on items we feel are reasonable and are somewhat below our low estimate.
Arrange for drop-off or pick-up of your goods.
If you are not able to deliver or ship the items, we offer pick-up services at $55/hour with a minimum of $25. See rates below. At this time, we will also provide details on upcoming auction dates and answer any additional questions you may have regarding consignment.
The more lead time that is allotted upon receipt of items before inclusion in an auction allows us the proper amount of time to adequately advertise your items, increasing the probabilities for higher bid amount.
Inventory / Insurance / Storage
After receipt of your consigned goods, we will have them tagged and inventoried into our system. Once we have your items in our possession, they will be fully insured until the day of the live auction where they transfer to the new owner (buyer).
Cataloging / Photography / Marketing
We will then add your items to our marketing, advertising and distribution plan to assure maximum exposure for your consignments. With your assistance on providing the history of your items, we will provide detailed descriptions of your consignments.
Adam Breault Auctions will be promoting your items through our website www.adambreault.com and www.AuctionZip.com which feature collections for our current and upcoming auctions through a full-color online catalog. Potential buyers who cannot attend the live auction can conveniently bid on items from anywhere in the world via our internet absentee bidding. We also promote through our internet marketing presence on popular social networking sites such as Facebook.
If appropriate, we will devise a media campaign in conjunction with the marketing campaign that will target popular trade magazines and other influential publications. We will also personally call upon our extensive database of established contacts who may be interested in your items.
Live Auction
Your consignments will be on display prior to the date of the live auction. Potential buyers may preview your items by appointment prior to the day of the auction and one hour prior to the start of the auction on the day of the auction. This time-frame allows our regular customers and potential buyers as much time as they wish to inspect your items in a no-pressure atmosphere.
Consignor Payout
Adam Breault Auctions prides itself in prompt payment to its consignors, payouts are usually made within fourteen (14) days after the close of the auction. Consignors with items sold in multiple auctions will be paid out after all items are sold.
Consignment Tips
Desirability is the key to the auction. All items must be in good to excellent condition. No dirty or broken items, flea market or garage sale leftovers. We are looking for desirable consignment items with a value of $25 or more.
Some items we look for include: vehicles, firearms, tractors, farm machinery, ATVs, antiques, functional appliances, lawn & garden equipment, power and hand tools, furniture, antique toys, costume and fine jewelry, clocks and pocket watches, hunting and fishing gear, musical instruments, pottery, glassware, artwork, coins, trains, radios, sterling silver and other such items.
